In 2025, the Province of Alberta finalized updates to its flood models, mapping, and studies to identify and communicate flood hazards and potential impacts. The Town of Okotoks (the “Town”) intends to comprehensively understand the Province’s updates for the reach of the Sheep River affecting Okotoks and the resulting knowledge regarding potential risks to our community, operations, and infrastructure. The Town is seeking proposals from qualified Professional Engineering firms registered to practice in Alberta to conduct a comprehensive vulnerability assessment based on the update to the Sheep River Hazard Study. |
