The Town of Okotoks is seeking Proposals from experienced and qualified consultants to design improvements to recently licensed and purchased lands adjacent to the CPKC (formerly Canadian Pacific) railway right-of-way south of the Okotoks downtown core.

The intent is to pave and formalize an existing improvised gravel parking area, creating approximately 120 parking stalls on the south side of Daggett Street; to install roughly 2,050m six foot high fencing alongside the north and south perimeter of the CPKC railway right-of-way, stretching from Northridge Drive to Lineham Avenue; and site clean up of 30 South Railway Street west of Lineham Avenue to achieve a visually pleasing, drought resistant and easy to maintain parcel with restricted access.

These improvements will include, but are not limited to the removal of existing fencing alongside the railway right-of-way, the abandonment/ removal of standpipes in 30 South Railway Street and the coordination of the burial of approx. 300m of O/H power lines along the south side of Daggett Street with Fortis Alberta.
