Summary

Through this Request for Proposals (“RFP”), the Town of Okotoks (the “Town”) invites Proposals from suitability qualified and experienced companies, interested in performing headworks upgrades (process, mechanical, electrical, instrumentation and associated works), at the Town’s Wastewater Treatment Plants, as part of the plant’s continuing phase 2 upgrades. 

Full details of the Work required is provided in Divisions 1 to 17, plus Exhibits A to J of this RFP.    A summary of the Work is as follows

Location: The Place of the Work is the Okotoks Wastewater Treatment Plant (OWWTP), located at 200-1118 North Railway Street, Okotoks, AB, as shown on the Contract Drawings.

Work Summary: a full description of the Work is provided in Division 1.  The Work to be performed by the Contractor shall include:

• Process, Mechanical, Electrical and Instrumentation work in the newly constructed Screening and Grit Buildings.
• Mechanical, Electrical and Instrumentation upgrades in the existing Screw Pump Building to meet area classification requirements.
• Installation, tie-in and commissioning of Hybrid Blower #2 and its VFD in the existing Blower Room.

Optional Work: there are additional items that are designated as ‘Optional Work’, which may or may not be added to the Work at the time of execution of the Contract.

Contract Time: The following are key ‘Milestone Dates’ required for the Work:

• The Town anticipates execution of a Contract for the Work no later than: December 23, 2022
• The Work must be ‘Ready-For-Takeover’ (as defined in CCDC2-2020) no later than: December 31, 2023

Form of Contract: The Form of Contract to be executed between the Town and the Contractor for the Work will be the CCDC2 – 2020 Stipulated Price Contract, as modified by Supplementary Conditions. Further details are provided in Division 00 of this RFP.
